- Locus of Control refers to the extent to which people feed that they have control over the events that influence their lives.
- Locus of Control is an individual's perception abut the underlying main causes in his/her life.
- It means, Do you believe that your destiny is controlled by your self or by external forces(such as fate, luck etc.,)?
Internal Locus of Control:
- Internal Locus of Control means you believe you are in control.
- Individual believes that your behaviour is guided by your personal decisions and efforts.
- People with an Internal Locus of Control believe that what happens in their life is largely the result of their own behaviour and that they have control over their life.
- External Locus of Control means you believe external factors are in control (people, situations etc.,).
- Individuals believes that your behaviour is guided by fate, luck, or other external circumstances.
- People with External Locus of Control believe that what happens in them is controlled by external factors and they do not have control over their life.
