- SAP Business One Sales Opportunities forms part of the CRM(Customer Relationship Management ) solution.
- This is allows the sales team to set up, track, manage and reports on sales opportunities for existing customer sales cycles or leads(not yet a customer).
- This sales opportunities have two modules. which are:
- Sales Opportunity
- Sales Opportunities Reports
- The Sales Opportunities home page of the SAP is looks like shown below.
- The Sales Opportunity module lets you track and analyze pending opportunities.
- This sales opportunity includes customer details, status, opening and closing dates etc.
- If the customer is your previous customer then if you click the button beside the business partner code label as shown in above figure it will give the full details of that customer.
- SAP provided tab menus in sales opportunities to access the sales opportunity information.
- In that the stages menu you have to choose stage of this opportunity like lead, 1st meeting, 2nd meeting, quotation, order.
- Depends on this the closing percentage is varies. It is used to close the opportunity.
- Coming to summary, you have to choose the status of opportunity as won or lost or is open.
- And you have to write the reason for that in description.
- There is no options to add products in this sales opportunities, we have add products in sales quotations only.
- If you want you can attach that sales quotation file in the attachments menu.
Sales Opportunities Reports:
- This Sales Opportunities Reports are used to track, analyze the opportunity based on the different strategies.
- The SAP Sales Opportunities have below shown reports for opportunities.
Advantages:
- This system has clearly defined choosing opportunity status as open, won or lost.And also provided description for that.
- It shown the reports of the opportunities as pipeline and in diagrammatic view.
Disadvantages:
- This system doesn't have to add products in sales opportunities. If you want to add then you have to add in sales quotation only.
- It doesn't provided proper sales opportunities that means no sample orders, holds like stone profit systems pre-sales process.
